Challenge: An Industrial HVAC company needed to find a way to bring a previously outsourced
process back in house all while demand was increasing. The company needed the ability to produce more parts in a shift. This couldn’t be accomplished by just adding more staff dues to the shortage of available workforce.
Solution: Properly Works helped (ADE’d) them by understanding the processes to be performed, the capabilities that were needed to achieve quality and the quantity of output to meet their customers needs. We researched available options and matched the right non-standard CNC technology to their needs as well as providing a vision for how raw materials would be transported to, enter into and exit the work area. We examined and planned for change over efficiency when producing different part numbers and we laid out a path for full automation with outgoing parts that could be used to increase end to end productivity when the peak demand arrived.
Results: The customer was then able to purchase and install the equipment
effectively vertically integrating their production while bringing in more business to
achieve larger monthly revenues by producing parts for other divisions of their business
as well as new customers.
Challenge: An aerospace manufacturing company was having trouble on where to
apply technology to supplement its existing workforce. Since quality and traceability
for their products is of the utmost importance, it was critical to their customers that
workflows and critical steps did not get altered to the point where process control
was lost. However, They needed to find ways to augment the existing workforce as
they could not keep up with existing demand.
Solution: We aided (AID) them by assessing several areas of their plant including their machine shop, production and testing areas and logistics. Along with the customer we performed walkthroughs and process evaluations on areas the customer was struggling with. This led to the discovery of bottle neck, areas of rework, outdated technology and workspaces ripe for improvements. We helped the customer evaluate the opportunities
by cost and complexity of the solution and assessed the priority and effect that an improvement would have to their business. We provided automated solutions where
we had expertise and project managed other solution providers for the remainder
of the customer’s needs.
Results: The customer was relieved in a time where they had very limited resources
that they found a trusted partner they could rely on for such an in-depth, proprietary,
and guarded scope of work. The customer was able to achieve improvement with
limited disruption to productivity and get the results needed in logistics, machining,
inspection, assembly and test operations with the training to be self-sufficient
but the confidence that comes with our continued support
